Happy Cinco de Mayo, sewing friends!
Being the wild girl that I am, I celebrated with a little sewing :-)
Here's what I've been working on . . .
potholders for the Potholder Pass 3 -
I can't even tell you how excited I am about these potholders. My secret partner requested "bright and modern," which is right up my ally! I just need to hand sew the binding to the back and these fun potholders will be done.
Next is a work in progress that's been sitting around since December -
Sad but true, this table runner has been sitting like this since Christmas! Everything but the binding is done. What's even more pitiful is that I've been using this on my dresser for at least a month . . . with no binding on it! (Can you tell that's my least favorite part?)
Looks like I need to hunker down and have a little binding party tonight. (Yup, that's how I roll!)
Have yourselves a happy Cinco de Mayo!

I'm working on my potholders too. Almost done with them but you way ahead of me!
ReplyDeleteThose are so adorable! I'm back to the drawing board with mine. My lady has a wide range of likes.
ReplyDeletelove your nine patch runner!!
Love your mordern potholders! I don't blame youfor using the runner before it is done it is lovely.
ReplyDeleteI love both projects too. I am having a hard time pinning down my partner this round and am struggling with the potholder design. I love the ones you came up with!
ReplyDeleteCute! Happy Cinco de Mayo!
ReplyDeletereally cute mary! get that binding on, it'll be great! :)
ReplyDeleteawesome potholders! They are so modern and jazzy! Your runner looks awesome too. I have problems doing the quilting part! Binding is ok just takes awhile to do.
ReplyDeleteThose potholders are my favorite project that you've done yet... I LOVE them!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI really, really like the colors of those pot holders! Bright and modern is up my alley as well. I think the whole concept of hand sewing bindings is what keeps me from trying out quilting-maybe something small like the potholders would be a great place to start.
ReplyDeleteOh I love the colours in that table runner - the green, purple and turquoise! Beautiful!
ReplyDeletelove those potholders! And the table runner. Lucky me, I actually enjoy the binding!!
ReplyDeleteThose potholders are super cute!
ReplyDeleteI just discovered your blog through flickr. You have some beautiful creations, but I especially like your photography. I find that it's challenging to take nice clear, but also interesting photos of quilts or table runners, and yours are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteAwesome potholders! I love the colors!
